When we listen
to people’s idea or his lecture or talk, it is needless to say how important is
to understand his or her credibility, dedication, and achievements over the
years. Like for instance, when we listen to 14th Dalai Lama, there
is high credibility, dedication and achievements for the last 60 years in
struggle against Chinese government, keeping alive the issue of Tibet
internationally, welfare of Tibetans not only in India, Nepal & Bhutan, but
also in United States and many other countries in Europe. Let me not mention
here the efforts and contribution of His Holiness in promoting human values and
religious harmony worldwide.
The point I am
making here is that, are there any Tibetan alive as of today, who could have
more knowledge, experience, and people’s mandate that will guide us through politically
and spiritually, with pure love and compassion, other than His Holiness the 14th
Dalai Lama?
If we really
believe His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is the soul and identity of
six million Tibetans, then people like Jamyang Norbu is clearly playing with
his beautiful words to change that. We can understand why Chinese government
tries to criticize His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan
Administration, but why people like Jamyang Norbu tries to do the same in our
midst again and again?
In his October
31st written blog titled “The said painful joke of Tibetan democracy”,
he has not only tried to criticize His Holiness, but also tries to demoralize the
very foundation of Tibetan struggle. Those who are little attracted to what he writes
must please try to analyze the situation of the CTA and the Tibetan in exile,
especially in India.
Different people
has different perception, and therefore, when one read his comparison of
Tibetan democracy with Bhutan democracy; the author knows but why he cares that
the situation with which the evolution of democracy in Bhutan and for Tibetan in
exile are being taking place are little different. For instance, Bhutan is a
complete free country, and functions in its own country, and has no immediate
political or cultural threat from outside, whereas the Tibetan exile’s situation
is completely the opposite.
He hinted that
having political parties in Tibetan political system would then be called real democracy
and a vibrant and dynamic one as well. If he is a responsible person, then he
must also know that knowledge and idea must also have an appropriate time and
situation to perform. Does he care about the consequences of forming Tibetan political
parties in India from the Indian government’s point of view? Does he care about
the consequences of complete shutdown of CTA over the issue of such political
parties? Does he care about understanding the reason behind why His Holiness
the Dalai Lama repeatedly said that we do not need political parties?
I would love to
attend if he teaches History classes online with pure academic without any
twisted information and comparison, because he is quite a learned man.
But it is a time
that he should leave the political things to be handled by most vibrant and
democratic elected leadership in Dharamsala with a mandate of Tibetans in Tibet
through His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
